AIR FRYER BANANA WALNUT MUFFINS

Yummy, is what my husband said when I put a batch of homemade Air Fryer Banana Walnut Muffins in front of him. The entire kitchen smelled wonderful.

If you have not tried air fryer muffins, you are truly missing out. So, if you have any ripe bananas lying around I hope you have a chance to try this recipe. They are soft, moist, and absolutely delicious.

Banana Walnut Muffins-
So, what are banana nut muffins? They are exactly what they sound like, they have ripe bananas, with walnuts in the mix.

Bananas: This recipe is calling for 2 ripe bananas. The best bananas to use for any banana bread or muffins are black bananas. As gross as that sounds, the more black spots they have the sweeter your banana bread or in our case Banana Walnut Muffins will be.

Walnuts: Today I used chopped, as I like them bigger in my baked goods, so you get a nice crunch in your muffin.

Here Are Some Tips for Making Air Fryer Muffins–

  1. Do not overmix the batter. This will lead to hard muffins since the more you stir, the more gluten will be released, making your muffins hard. Once everything is well combined, leave the batter alone.
  2. Air fry them as soon as you make the batter.
  3. Let them cool slightly after you air fries them, the muffins will actually continue to bake even though they are out of the air fryer.
  4. Change out the nuts, if you do not like walnuts, simply change them to your favorite nut, favorites are pecans, hazelnuts, or even macadamia nuts.
  5. Top them with butter, honey, or your favorite jam.

Assuming, you do not eat the entire batch, you will need to store them, here are some pointers.

How to Store Air Fryer Banana Walnut Muffins–
Simply let them cool to room temperature and then place them in an airtight container. They should last at room temperature for about 1 to 2 days. If you would like to keep them longer, simply place the airtight container into the refrigerator, they should last about a week.
