Instructions

  • Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, paprika, coriander, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
    • Cut the chicken into strips or chunks and coat with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Cook the Chicken:
    • Arrange the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a crispy exterior.
  • Assemble the Gyros:
    • Warm the pita or flatbreads in the air fryer for a couple of minutes if desired.
    • Spread tzatziki sauce on the pita, then layer with cooked chicken, sliced onions, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
    • Top with additional tzatziki sauce if desired.
  • Serve:
    • Serve your Greek Chicken Gyros warm and enjoy!
