- Prepare the Chicken:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 18-22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Make the Gravy:
- While the chicken is cooking, mix the cream of chicken soup, water, and chicken gravy packets in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until well combined and heated through.
- Shred the Chicken:
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, use two forks to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Combine Chicken and Gravy:
- Stir the shredded chicken into the prepared gravy mixture until fully coated.
- Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- If using instant mashed potatoes, prepare according to the package instructions, adding butter and any additional seasonings as desired.
- Serve:
- Serve the shredded chicken gravy over a bed of mashed potatoes. Optionally, serve with rolls on the side.
