Step 1: Prepare the Puff Pastry
- Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
- Cut the puff pastry sheet into two equal squares.
- Air fry each piece for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
Step 2: Make the Custard
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk, heavy cream, sugar, and cornstarch over medium heat.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks.
- Slowly pour some of the warm milk mixture into the yolks, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Step 3: Assemble & Chill
- Place one pastry sheet in a square pan.
- Pour the custard over it and top with the second pastry sheet.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
- Dust with powdered sugar before slicing into squares.
- Enjoy chilled for the best texture!
