Step 1: Prepare the Cake Batter
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, and mix until smooth.
Step 2: Air Fry
- Grease a small cake pan that fits in your air fryer.
- Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
- Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
- Air fry for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
Step 3: Make the Frosting & Assemble
- In a bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Mix until creamy and spreadable.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cake and serve.
