Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Boil penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Sauté the Chicken and Vegetables
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until softened. Add asparagus and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Step 3: Make the Cream Sauce
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
Step 4: Combine
- Return cooked chicken and penne to the skillet. Toss everything to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.
