Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the bottom of the unbaked pie crust.
Step 2: Make the Pecan Topping
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla.
- Stir in chopped pecans.
- Carefully spoon this mixture over the cheesecake layer.
Step 3: Bake
- Bake for 55–60 minutes or until center is set and top is golden brown.
- Cool completely before slicing.
