Step 1: Prepare the Meat Filling
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
  2. Add ground meat, salt, pepper, oregano, and nutmeg. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Potato Layer
  1. Mash the boiled potatoes with butter, milk, Parmesan, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Assemble the Pie
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer the meat filling in the bottom. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.
  3. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
Step 4: Bake
  1. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp.
  2. Let it cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
