Step 1: Make the Crust
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, butter, and powdered sugar in a bowl until a soft dough forms.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the pan and bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
Step 2: Add Pecans and Caramel
- Sprinkle pecans evenly over the crust.
- In a saucepan, warm the caramel with cream and vanilla until smooth. Pour over the pecans.
Step 3: Add Chocolate
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and return to the oven for 5 minutes to melt.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly with a spatula.
- Let cool completely, then refrigerate until firm. Slice into bars.
