Step 1: Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and buttermilk, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Step 2: Bake and Top
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Mix topping ingredients. While bread is still warm, brush with butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top.
