Step 1: Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and buttermilk, mixing well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Step 2: Bake and Top
  1. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Mix topping ingredients. While bread is still warm, brush with butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top.
