Step 1: Make the Dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Shape and Air Fry
- Divide dough into 6–8 portions. Roll each into a finger-shaped bun.
- Preheat air fryer to 160°C (320°F). Place buns in the basket lined with parchment paper.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
Step 3: Fill and Serve
- Slice each bun halfway through lengthwise (like a hot dog bun).
- Spread a spoonful of jam inside, then pipe or spoon in whipped cream.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve fresh.
