Step 1: Make the Dough
  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Shape and Air Fry
  1. Divide dough into 6–8 portions. Roll each into a finger-shaped bun.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 160°C (320°F). Place buns in the basket lined with parchment paper.
  3. Air fry for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
Step 3: Fill and Serve
  1. Slice each bun halfway through lengthwise (like a hot dog bun).
  2. Spread a spoonful of jam inside, then pipe or spoon in whipped cream.
  3. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve fresh.
