- 1 lb (450g) Polish sausage, sliced
- 1 1/2 lbs (700g) potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups (500g) sauerkraut, drained (rinse if preferred milder)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (optional, traditional flavor)
