Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in ricotta, egg, vanilla, and almond extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in orange zest and mini chocolate chips.
Step 2: Bake the Cookies
- Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Step 3: Optional Finishing Touch
- Dust cooled cookies with powdered sugar for an extra cannoli-like flair.
