Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Beef
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until the meat is browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
Step 2: Combine Ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked beef mixture, diced tomatoes with green chilies, sour cream, taco seasoning, cheddar cheese soup, frozen hash browns, and 2 cups shredded cheese. Mix well.
Step 3: Air Fryer Method
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
  2. Transfer mixture into an oven-safe dish that fits inside your air fryer basket (you may need to cook in batches).
  3. Air fry for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway, until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  4. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese on top in the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Slow Cooker Method (Original)
  1. Transfer the beef mixture into a greased crockpot.
  2. Cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.
  3. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
