Instructions
Step 1: Prep
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
Step 2: Make the Batter
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add this mixture alternately with milk, stirring until smooth.
Step 3: Layer & Swirl
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Add half of the diced apples and sprinkle half the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture on top.
- Repeat layers with remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Gently swirl through the batter with a knife for a marbled effect.
Step 4: Bake
- Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Step 5: Glaze & Serve
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled bread and let set before slicing.
