Instructions


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract.

  3. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt until a crumbly dough forms.

  4. Press half of the dough firmly into the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

  5. While baking, melt caramel candies with heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.

  6. Remove the pan from the oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the baked layer, then pour caramel sauce on top.

  7. Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer. Return to oven and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.

  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars for clean layers.
