Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Warm the milk until it’s lukewarm and combine it with melted butter and one beaten egg.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
  6. Place the balls on a parchment-lined air fryer basket and cover with a damp cloth. Let them rise for about 20 minutes.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Beat one egg with water and brush the tops of the buns with this egg wash, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  9. Air fry the buns for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Allow the buns to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

  • Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
