Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Warm the milk until it’s lukewarm and combine it with melted butter and one beaten egg.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
- Place the balls on a parchment-lined air fryer basket and cover with a damp cloth. Let them rise for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Beat one egg with water and brush the tops of the buns with this egg wash, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Air fry the buns for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow the buns to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

- Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
- Customize the toppings with poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning.
- Let the buns cool completely before slicing for easier handling.
