Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the dough.
  4. Lay the slices of ham evenly over the dough, followed by the slices of cheddar cheese.
  5. Starting from one short edge, roll up the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.
  6. Transfer the roll to the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with your choice of dipping sauce.

Chef’s Tips

  • Add a sprinkle of onion powder to the mustard for extra flavor.
  • Replace ham with turkey or other deli meats for variation.
  • Use a sharp serrated knife to achieve clean slices.
