Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and peel the carrots. Slice them thinly into even circles for uniform cooking.
- In a large bowl, toss the carrot slices with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings until evenly coated.
- Place the carrot slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the carrot chips for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Once they are crisp and slightly golden, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later snacking.
Chef’s Tips
- For extra flavor, experiment with different seasonings such as cumin or cayenne pepper.
- Ensure the carrot slices are uniform in thickness; thinner slices will cook more quickly and yield crispier chips.
- If you prefer an alternative cooking method, you can also bake the carrot chips in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes.
