Air Fryer Potato Wedges are amazing! So if you are looking for the perfect side dish to go with your next BBQ, this is the recipe.

The air fryer does an amazing job with these potato wedges. Perfectly seasoned, they make for a great quick appetizer, snack, or side dish.

I love my air fryer and over the past few years, I have made some great potato dishes.

Of course these are one of my kid’s favorite snacks! They usually pour melted cheese over them, for some added goodness!

Air Fryer Potato Wedges
There is nothing fancy about potato wedges. They have been around way longer than the air fryer.

Traditionally baked, they are so easy and much easier than cutting French fries by hand, which is why they are so popular.

You will get the same great flavor, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and delicious! And by cooking them in the air fryer, you are losing all of the greases usually prepared by deep-frying these!

Healthy & Delicious-A Great and Winning Combination!

How To Cut Potato Wedges
Cutting potato wedges is actually very simple, but sounds really complicated.

I love making potato wedges, because they are so much easier than making French fries.

Here are the steps:

  1. cut the potato in half
  2. then cut that potato in half again (total now is 4 pieces)
  3. Cut that potato in half again (total now 6 pieces)
  4. then cut that potato in half again (total now 8 pieces)

Depending on how big you want your pieces. The ideal cut makes each potato wedge about the same size.

If You Want Your Potato Wedges Crispy
Whether wedges or French Fries, the key to really potatoes is to soak the cut potatoes into cold water for at least 30 minutes.

The cold water does some magic to the potatoes’ starches, and with the help of the air fryer, you will get your potato wedges or fries crispy.

You will need to really make sure that they are dried, before continuing with the recipe.
